David Thomas...Anyone heard from him?

If you read through, he has came through on most of the most expensive items so far.

Yes it's been a while, but he is slowly making good.

He was at one point a valuable member of the community. My best guess is he got hurt, got addicted to pain killers, and went through a hard time. It can take a long time to straighten your life out after an addiction. Seen many friends go through it with heroin, coke and prescription medications. Seen friends end up loosing family, ending up in prison and end up in a grave from drugs.
If that's the case, props to him for working through it, and still having the valuable items that he has been mailing out to the members it was owed to

Not saying that's it, just a guess from what I gathered following this thread.

 

We have been waiting for information both from David on when he can get Lukas's package ready, and if another shipping option will work for Lukas using a local friend of his. That shipping option ended up not working out as we all hoped it would. But good news is Lukas's items are boxed up and ready to be mailed out just waiting now on David getting a shipping quote!

If all goes well (fingers crossed) then will be out and on the way to Lukas here in a few days I hope

 

just got msg back from David, he went to the post office got a price for shipping n64freak's package and looks like tomorrow the funds will be sent to david so it can be mailed out!! So at this time I am going to say david should be ready to start next person as soon as he gets back from the post office.

Just wanted to give update on the status since it has been 1 month since last update.

 

okay n64freak's package has been paid for and should be mailed out soon, also got msg from david about Shawn's stuff. finally

Also contacted shawn about his stuff and should be an easy package for david to do, I expect that to be done quickly.

 

N64freak's package has been mailed!!!!!
I just sent a picture of the customs form that david sent me. It was sent 6-10 days priority mail international.

 

Just got an update from n64freak that the package has cleared customs and he should have it around friday.

Now I wait to see if his post office does deliver it then

n64freak missed the post office closing by time he got the notice. So he has to wait until monday to be able to get the package.

Just got notice from n64freak his package was received!!!

"Everything was in there and in the described condition so i'm happy to have my stuff back"

This makes me very happy to know it have made it safely all the way to him

 

I have been trying to get a response back from david for a while now. the most recent response back was Jan 26th.

He said he was working for his landlord doing repair work on some condos to pay off some of his rent owed to the landlord.

my last msgs to him are the following

"I am at work and can't talk right this minute. I will try later to get back to you"

 

I just want to give a huge thank you to lwizardl for all the help you've done. Massive respect. With any luck I'm hoping to get my order from David. Fingers crossed.

 

Thanks Chris, I am still trying but can only do so much since I am out of state from him.

Heard back from david, he said he didn't remember what all was left so I resent him the original images I made that listed items and addresses for Chris, Shawn, and myself. He said

"ok next week I will locate all the parts for those orders. everything is in box's and i have no idea what is in each box. so that will determine which get a done first"

which I told him do Chris and shawn first I want mine done last.

 

Finally got a response back from david, sent him a msg saying it was March 16th was the last response back from hi.

From David
"I am at work right now. All of my things are in a warehouse. I rented the house before I lost it. I can't talk right now. I also can't get to any of the stuff either"

What I think he was saying is that he lost his house and put everything in a warehouse storage, and right now he can not get to the stuff he owes people. I am going to try and contact him again tonight to get more details but not sure how fast he will respond.
