Hello I tried to apply the following patch

    http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1710/

to Crystal Beans. It works in zsnes but will not work on the super everdrive. After the first bit of text after I press start on the title screen I hear music but it goes black instead of showing the next scene. I tried applying the no header HiRom 16MB patch that mottzilla gave me but that didn't fix it. The super everdrive said that it didn't have a header so I picked that. Can anybody else get it to work? Perhaps it uses a special chip and I'm not aware of that.

Well most emulators are different from actual consoles. Sometimes fan hacks and translations have programming bugs they don't like.

Does the same thing happen when playing on the bsnes emulator? It is the most accurate emulator, thus a good way to check if this is caused by an incompatibility with real hardware.

Just tried it on the sd2snes, it does indeed crash after the intro, but I did get as far as select number of players before graphic corruption started, then complete crash.

I tried 3 times, and sometimes you can get past that point select the number and start playing but I didn't play very far into it to see if it happened again.

Edit: Checked in BSNES accuracy, the graphic corruption was present on the player select still, just not as bad and didn't crash.

Do you have OS Update v12 on the everdrive? Did you try to manually play with the ROM settings?
