The Geist covers on Google image search are older ones that someone has blown up to a higher resolution. They still say GDROM on them and a few other errors. Still, if anyone wants to download them or the US style cover they can be found at this link - http://www.dcisozone.com/cover/2493/geist-force-usa-back.html

Ah yes, sorry, I only meant the front "sample" cover is available. It's only looking back at your original scans that I noticed this, but nice touch on adding the dust clouds / star clusters to the final artwork.

    Here's the sample scan.

    Enjoy.

AFAIK the back was a custom job.

    That's nice
    - what about the Japanese text below the logo? Do we know what it translates to? Or is it worth just getting rid of for a US cover?

... it's just the title in Jap katakana... *shakes head*
(doesn't actually matter if it's still on there, think I've seen some Western releases with a Jap title still on there before?)

I'm just about done designing a PAL big box style cover, the only problem I have is for what text to put for the English, French, German and Spanish descriptions on the back of the box

I can do a basic translation of the story in to English that I wrote on my Japanese cover if you'd like to use that. It may be better to just make something up though.

I think the original cover files are not necessary to create a new cover. Art and the sample cover are available online in satisfactory resolution (at least for everyone without professional printing devices) and that should be enough material to work on alternate region covers.

Well, I'll upload what I've made so far and if anyone wants to use them or help with the text then feel free.

Both images are made from individual objects or place holders so I can easily edit.

Arent UK cases normal text on the sides, and not the logo? Just nitpicking.

It depends on the game. A fair amount have the graphical logo on the side rather than plain white text. I would say many more PAL games do this than US releases, maybe because there is such a large amount of space on the side of the thick case (though there are several US releases that do this too)

Here's a giant picture of part of someone's collection if you would like to take a look :)

BTW Meringues, your cover looks awesome printed out!!! Did you get anyone to help with the back text? Or is this still a wip?

It does indeed look nice though.

EDIT: dark beat me to it by a few seconds! That collection is probably Wombat's.
