I could get you one (I'm in Shenzhen most of the time) - but it's relatively expensive and the Chinese Xbox One is region locked, so only Chinese games will work on it.

 

I am aware of the region lock, would you be able to price that up including postage and and any extra for your time please?

OK, I checked with the shops around here, and they all basically seem to have the same price:

With Kinect: 4299 CNY
Without Kinect: 3199 CNY

Having said that, most of the stores only had the one with the Kinect in stock (apparently the no kinect model sold a lot better than was expected).

The staff also didn't seem to have any clear idea what games, if any, the console came with - my friendly local grey market game shop doesn't have the Chinese version (just HK and Japanese) - they said they could order it, but the price would be very similar.

So, I can get you the system, but I'm having diffidently getting a clear answer about what it comes with.

 

many thanks for checking, its appreciated. Unfortunately I would need to know for sure that it came with those download codes. I'm going to do a bit more digging to see if it was day one units only or if they are still included with newer batches. I'll get back to you.

 

Yeah, I was told by one guy that it was just the "Day 1" units - but he didn't seem exactly sure...

4299 CNY is pretty much exactly $700 - pretty expensive. For reference, the Xbox One sold in HK costs HK $4180 - about US $540 (both these prices are with the Kinect).

 

Differences betweek the HK and the Chinese Version?

 

The Chinese version only runs Chinese software and you can't set the dash language to anything but Chinese. I assume it connects to a special censored version of Xbox Live, too - but I haven't actually verified that.

The HK version is basically a standard Xbox One - it defaults to traditional Chinese, but you can reset it to any language you want, and it's not region locked for games.
