I loved that game! Just looking at it makes me want to play it again.

I remember grabbing this game and Quest for Glory IV out of a bin at Sam's Club when I was a kid. Really fun game! Available for purchase again over at gog.com

I first heard of TIM some years ago and played a mobile version (probably made with J2ME) which was pretty fun.
I then purchased the TIM bundle at GOG.com (highly recommended by the way!) but didn't have much time to play those... I guess it's time to spend some hours stressing my brain! :)

Won't work on mine today. I can't even get a popular classic like Kings Quest (5 or 6 I tried), always got corrupt graphic when playing in DOSBox and just won't work under Windows.\

The peril of using Windows 64 bits on a dual CPU 24-process system with more RAM than the entire Best Buy store.

Interesting timing to see this right now. This is what I've been working on for the last few months...

ScummVM will run King's Quest V and VI (the low-res version only though) flawlessly.

Ohhhh I used to love playing this at school. I remember trying to copy it onto floppies to take home!
My first true act of piracy on the high seas!
If only I'd seen don't copy that floppy I would have known it was morally wrong to copy it...! :topsy_turvy:

I loved this game and mostly spent my time making elaborate pinball-like things or filling the screen with so much dynamite the game would give me a "low memory" error. Obscure? Not really, especially when GOG gave me an opportunity to revisit all of this. What's obscure is the Ghouls & Ghosts themed version of the cartoon spin-off Sid & Al's Incredible Toons that's on Saturn...

In primary school we had a game called "Gizmos and Gadgets" this reminds me of that. Looks fun :)

A game featured in The Hoyles Puzzle Game 2005 compilation is called contraptions and is a good clone of the game. contraption.jpg

The biggest memory I have of this game is its music.

Specifically pressing letters for the music. G was always the metal with the soloing, and I believe K was either country or an easy listening one.
