    Hi guys !

Well, I'm crazy of Castlevania Bloodlines and I dream of playing the beta version. As you know, a member of this site owns the cartridge selled by TARA200 in 2002... The minimum offer he would accept for the ROM is $ 2500 and he's also thinking about a fundraiser. Do you think it could be a good idea?

A cost for that beta is very high, I think.

If I recall correctly. The specific prototype (the Tara200 proto) had a bunch of differences. Including a couple of scrapped sub-sections in Stage 4. and a number of graphical differences with enemies and stuff. Also it seems the game wasn't entirely finished

I myself found a couple of leftovers from these stages. in the European beta floating around from a while ago and the same with the final.

Definitely ups the cool factor with the differences. $2500 is a good chunk of change though but if the OP wants it bad enough I'm sure there's a way

I think you overrate how many people would pay. I couldnt get 2500 for 4 RARE64 prototypes.

for 2500 dollar there had to be a lot of differences in the game to pay it, not just for a few sprites no matter how fan I am of the series.

So Simon_Belmont himself told you recently he'll release the ROM for $2,500? I'd agree with most here that that's a bit of a steep price for a single prototype, though I think the auction sold for like $3,000 when he bought it from tara, so it sorta makes sense...

He should ask the community himself if we want a fundraiser. I'm curious where it would go, I'd pitch in somewhat anyway.

I think thats kinda selfish if he is asking for money for the rom to be released. I mean it makes sense for the cart, but the rom file shouldn't be worth money.
