Castlevania 3 Compatable with NES Everdrive?

Have tried loading the Castlevania 3 rom, but gives me an error message something to do with a Mapper not supported?

 

The MMC5 isn't supported yet, hence why it doesn't work.

 

Will the Japanese version (VRC6 chip) work instead?

 

Yes, that works including the extra audio.

 

Ok ill try the JPN version, is C3 text heavy, if so is there a English text hack rom for it?

Regarding the extra audio channel of the JPN carts, i have one of these NESRGB boards that i installed, i believe you need to connect a 22k resistor to Pin9 on the expansion ports and then run i wire to the resistor on the NESRGB board. Is there an easy way to test this extra audio out at all to make sure this audio mod is working?

Be aware though that the game actually has some gameplay differences from the US version. They are mostly the same game but not exactly.
