Note: Mods, I wasn't sure where to put this (after reading the guidelines, the Restoration and Repair forum didn't seem like the right place...). Anyways, my son recently knocked my Wii U off of its stand and I guess it landed just right on something and the screen cracked (on the inside). I went to set up a repair with Nintendo but that transaction was going to cost ~$120, which is just $20 or so less than what it would cost me to just buy a new one. Anyways, if anyone on here can, I'd love to pay for shipping + replacement part + your time (just not $120...). If anyone (that has a good reputation on here) is willing, let me know and we can work out the details. Thanks!
What I would do personally is by a broken gamepad off ebay (one that is broken for other reaons other than the screen itself) and fix it that way.
Looks like it should be pretty straight forward. Replacement screens aren't that much either. I'm sure someone will be able to help you out.
You can have it done at A&J Games in Los Angeles, I do these repairs there for $89 with US return shipping included. PM me if interested.
Thanks for the responses guys. Actually, I found a video on repairing the screens on Youtube and I just ordered the LCD kit and will knock it out myself.
