I tried burning a Darkwater release of Guardian Heros with ImgBurn and got some errors. I use Taiyo Yuden CDR's and burned at the slowest speed, but when it verified the disc I got some errors. I have attached some pics. saturn fail.JPG 2.JPG 3.JPG

    Imgburn sucks. Old news.

Please use a different cd burning application.

Try UltraISO and see if that may work

You were told in the other thread that downloaded image files will in all likelihood be "faulty". It states right there in the log that the layered error correction was wrong in the image file and your drive tried to correct it.

You could try using another drive (do Saturn games need subchannel data? I can't remember them doing so) or another burning app. Ultimately, though, buy the game if you want it that badly.

The image file he is burning, judging from the filename, is a confirmed good dump (crc should be E0FDFFAB). I know the guy who dumped it and he rigorously tested everything he released. Regardless you can just test it in CDMage to check if it really has any errors, but it is unlikely to have any if you got it where I think you got it from. And I just tested it myself and it has no errors.

It's just imgburn being a worthless POS. Again. Last time I checked it, it just skipped over errors (didn't show up any errors on a bad burn), but now it seems it blames the image file for its own fault? Great...

I got it figured out. My images are not "faulty"! They are perfectly fine, I got my image from a respectable source. Not every downloaded image is faulty.

This is the way the images were ripped: Mode1, RAW. Imgburn author stated in his forum that his software doesn't write in RAW mode, hence the reason I got errors(game would still play though). So I checked the game image CRC and it matched. I also checked with CDMage and it found no errors.

I ended up burning with Disc Juggler using the proper settings and it burned perfectly no errors. I have done a couple of games this way and they work. They also verify good with ImgBurn.

Holy shit do you have a source for that? This would be the biggest imaginable "fuck you" for burning cd images.

Yes I do. Here are a couple. I am posting them just to support my claim, not to harm the ImgBurn author. I actually really like his software it just doesn't fit my needs for this type of burning.

This post is a tad old. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/14285-burning-in-raw-mode/

Here is a post that is more current. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/23144-i-want-to-a-karaoke-cdg-disc/?hl=+raw#entry154000

Here is one that talks about the problem I had. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/22705-write-to-disc-miscompare-error/?hl=+raw#entry152647

    Again. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?...ning-playstation-1-games/?hl=+raw#entry152834

Check on his forum if you would like to find anything else. http://forum.imgburn.com/
