Burger King black whoppers are coming to USA!

Hey everyone,

I just saw on a TV commercial that the black Halloween whoppers are now available in the USA for a limited time during October! If you ever wanted to try one of those cool black whoppers from Japan, now you can!

im trying that tonight actually, i didn't know they had em in japan!!!!

 

HAH! I had one of these yesterday! They're definitely not the same as the Japanese one. The Japanese one had some squid ink fused cheese, and the bun was smoked with bamboo. In the US however, the bread is Dyed. Its dyed SO MUCH SO, that your POOP will turn green! I SWEAR. Like dark grass green. At least i know now that it takes me about 2 days to digest some food. >.<

Oh, and it just tasted like a normal burger to me. Nothing fancy, actually mine was all sloppy and falling apart, the A1 sauce was dripping all over my hand and on the wrapper. It was a nightmare.

McDonalds $1 Grilled Onion burgers are better than this to be honest.

As if we don't consume enough food dye as it is haha. What am I saying, if I still ate red meat I would totally go for this. I'm a sucker for A1 sauce.

 

Not surprised that it isn't the same as the Japanese Kuro burgers. They used ika (squid) ink to dye them, which has quite a strong and unique taste. It's commonly eaten in Japan, but I've never seen it in any Japanese restaurant in the West. I personally like ika ink, but the smell can be off-putting. I think the black ika ink burgers wouldn't sell well in North America.

I had Burger King's red samurai beef burger in Japan this summer. It had red dyed buns and red dyed cheese and tasted overall quite spicy for a chain restaurant hamburger. Really recommend it.

 

wow that red bun looks awesome.... sadly i dont like burgers from mcdonalds or bk, i would just be more interested in the buns lol reminds me of sponge bobs pretty patties a green bun would be awesome

 

Not in Japanese restaurants but there is squid ink pasta which is not that uncommon. It is an acquired taste though. I like the pasta but eating a squid ink burger? I don't know.

 

I just hate all this shit food.

So its not just the cars, you guys get better burger king than us too. Get to drive up in your fancy shmancy r34 and order a spicey red burger or squid ink burger, and all I get to do is drive up in a lousy xterra and order a black food colored burger.

My brother brought one home the other day and after having a bite he didn't want anything to do with it anymore. I picked off a few pieces of the bun and tried it, and I must say it was a bit strange. Even though I only ate a few tiny pieces of the bread, I experienced the after effects that Tokyobusridas mentioned above. I don't recommend it.

 

It doesn't taste any different to a normal one. It's just the colour. Or maybe that's what you meant lol

it was actually good, bread tasted different, but the fucking BLUE GREEN SHIT!!!!!!!! lol you could see the dye lifting from my crap LOL. i'll get another before they're gone lol.
