Hi all, Wondering what all this would be worth? 9Also, can someone explain what DC-VCD is? All connectors for video (Scart / Aerial / Component) Thanks!
No idea on worth but I think DC-VCD is "Dreamcast - Video CD" It's videos but on CD instead of DVD's, Never heard of it? Well iirc it died out kinds quick thanks to DVD's, Sorta like HD-DVD's vs Blu Ray. Anyone can feel free to correct me cause I am just speculating here. D:
Spare Dreamcast's go for around €50,- seeing that you still have the box it will be around €80,-. The whole package will probably be worth around €100~120,- The DC-VCD is most likely; A) Boot disc to play video's with the Dreamcast (specific encoded mpg's) B) Movie already encoded + player.
Boxed Dreamcast are only worth £30-35 complete in good condition. None of those games are worth more than £5 in very good condition, with instructions and no broken cases. Sonic is practically worthless like that. Boxed controllers are around £5 and yours look pretty yellow... so virtually worthless. I assume one should be in the box anyway. Likewise, Dream key should be in the box and the RF cable. Maybe £70-80 in good condition.
what an insult. (flagged, because my made-up randain sensibilities are challnged right now) .. all depends? DOA2, VF and TR, can go for at least ten GBP if in good condition. same for sonics. christ, there's a boxed white controller in cashcon for twenty GBP, so... the cast seems about right, even though their markup is forty GBP BASELINE. (= reasonable) @ the op. really depends where you are and who you reach out to? i already have the games in mint state, but if a had spuds to trade online and didn't have em, i'd rip your arms out for the stated games (on this response) because to me (and in my area) ten gbp for the games i wanted is MORE than amicable form my POV. :wink-new:
Go and check eBay. ALL THREE of those games can be picked up for £5. There are several on Buy it Now for £7/8 including postage. They are extremely common titles - outside of a retro dealer's shop, they're not really worth more than £5 a piece. Boxed controllers have sold for £5.50 including postage... some for £8 including postage.
Definitely a hot topic then? Didn't want to start anything here haha, I appreciate all feedback, and from what I've read, if I stuck it on here at around £50 + postage, because it isn't in the best of conditions, would be a fair price? Thanks again!
^^ extremely fair, selling short though. :smile-new: (i don't do ebay price unless there's no reference or general for where i live. did check, but it's n/a if i wanted em...because i don't use ebay, and other places clearly don't follow suit, they charge what they think they can get, and they do get it) ... if fifty gbp + ship ALL-in works, they'll be a lucky sod there. [edit] don't use ebay..yet. (because they suck)
Ive been using eBay for a few things over the past month, and the fees are a killer, at least now they've had the decency to give 20 listings free each month. I had a gameboy player for GameCube up that went within a day, and a wavebird that went within a week, both full price even though I put best offer. The stuff I'm selling now just isn't budging. I know dreamcast is a popular system on here so I thought put it up here to see what I can get. Might put my other eBay stuff on here soon if they don't budge, got a few goodies. Yeah, I would happily accept £50 + postage, if it gets it out the house fast enough. Outside of eBay of course.
All listings are free... so long as you start them under £1. Other than that, if you're listing a lot, you're supposed to have a shop, and pay your taxes
^^ i hear that loud and clear. :wink-new: ... just for a laugh, might do a price check on some of my stuff, see how lowballed i get. :smile-new: anyway, you should be able to get the asking price at the very least. all the best on whatever course of action you take. [edit] for deep3r.
