Now this great collection is rapidly growing with regular updates would it be a candidate for a TOSEC collection? This way it could be monitored, updated and managed cleanly using tools such as clrmamepro.

Public trackers have long since switched to DHT, so their torrents should function regardless of what tracker sites are blocked. So they work for everyone who doesn't have the entire protocol blocked on an ISP level, and there are forced encryptions & such in every popular client that makes ISP traffic shaping more and more difficult nowadays.

Usenet however only works for the select few who pay for a usenet provider.

Fix/Addition Request

3DS * The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D also has US demo; it is pre-release. (oops, it isn't actually)
* Pyramids (an eshop game) has a prototype demo released by BigBlueBox.
* The 3DS system has a leaked devkit of some sort.
GBA * The Super Mario Advance beta is identical to the final.
GCN * Could you create a text file that says what is in the GameCube Demo Disc 16 (US)?
* Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has a prototype demo on the 'Demo Disc 18 (2004 Christmas holiday)'.
NES * The Super Mario Bros. 3 beta is not a prototype. It is just a hack to unlock the unused levels and debug stuff in the final.
SNES * Mario Paint has a prototype (1,2).

Hey guys, may I ask you what's up with the "Silent Hill Prototype"? Is it a real beta? Because I've never heard of it.

 

I don't know much about Silent Hill or have even played it (which I hope to change soon!) but there is an article about it on tcrf. And strangely it has some ....... unique placeholder graphics for some of the menus. What are they??? That's for you to find out!

 

Is this the right place to report errors, or is their a more direct way?

There's a particularly difficult-to-find Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Kiosk Demo rom that is missing from your set. You can grab it from here (It seems to be the only place on the internet you can currently find it):

There's also a partial Nintendo DS game source for Princess Maker 4, I think it was. I'll have to find the files and link them here.

 

If prototopia is to include non-prototype demos, NSMB has 3. (US Demo, EU Demo first version, EU demo 2nd version).

They have some level (and possibly other) differences.
