Advice please on buying a Mega Everdrive Or Everdrive MD for Japanese MD1

    Hi,

    Need some advice please on what flashcart to buy for a Japanese 60hz NTSC Megadrive 1. Will both of them play all roms including the region locked ones. Also, I have heard that the Everdrive MD is not compatible with the Jap console?

    Everdrive versions with Megakey will play more region locked roms than the earliest did. A few roms might need patching instead.

    Though it's not an alternative to region mods. Your console will default dual language games to Japanese, and 50hz cannot be toggled via the cartridge slot.

    No problem, I can't be 100% certain. Megakey is broken on my everdrive so I can't run actual tests.
