A friend of mine is permanent modding a PAL SNES to 60hz and he says that the motherboard is slightly different than the usual boards (this is a German motherboard). He says all he has to do is detach a leg one from the PPU1 chip and another from PPU2, but the numbers are slightly different than a UK SNES.

Does a German SNES require a different modding procedure? Thanks!

No, I've never found a different pinout for ppu chips.

I modded several German and als Japanese SNES/SFCs and the procedure is exactly the same. The only difference is between a 2PPU SNES and a 1Chip SNES.
