Hmmm, I wished we didn't get shafted in the UK by this match £ for $ pricing. In the US they are $49.99 (£25). Out of interest (because I have never used one) are they strictly region locked like standard DVD? As Blu-ray on the PS3 allows me to watch any region disc. Mine is a Japanese version so there might even be a regional difference between machines (if you catch my drift).

May still try and obtain an NTSC unit as I am sure the US selection of titles is better / larger than European, if previous formats are anything to go by.

I'm gunna try to hunt one down sometime, but yesterday I checked 4 stores, all rang up at 150$. It's like this area just doesn't follow anything correctly. Big sale? Well, fuck me, it's not happening here.

But it doesn`t matter which you get as you can play them all any any format NTSC/PAL unit

Apart from cheaper unit cost, but then you would have to have an NTSC 360 to run it through if I remember correctly

Okay, conflicting advice from VA and Didds. Hmm? Anyone confirmed this in the UK?

There is no region lock on the machines or disks, but I am sure if you have a NTSC HD DVD unit it will only run via a NTSC 360 and the same for PAL

There are loads of sellers on amazon.com, but s`pose time you add postage, just as well to buy one here
