I have a TurboZ on it's way from Japan right now, and I am curious about one thing. I know that the X1 was originally designed to use digital RGB for it's displays. I also know that Sharp added a standard Japanese 15 pin D-sub analog RGB output to the TurboZ series. Here is my question. Is it possible to operate the TurboZ with just an analog RGB monitor. Like will the digital RGB display modes be converted to analog RGB and outputted on that connector? I have plenty of commodore monitors...

Hi, this is my first post here, nice to meet you all!
I received my X68k Super yesterday and it's super awesome, love the machine SO much, I wanted one since 1989!
I use a standard CRT VGA monitor and I'm stuck to 31 khz for now, I'm waiting to pick a proper x68k monitor from spain or some better solution.
So far no trouble: I used the A, down, A, down x 4, left motion during the attract mode to switch from 15khz to 31khz with the black screen to see the image in Final Fight and Strider, but...

Finally looking into this machine and I'm pretty blown away. I'm from the US and the 80s were dominated here by gaming computers like the C64, Amiga, and Atari ST. The X68000 for arcade conversions is in another class though it looks like. Except for its then outdated 5 3/4 inch disk drives (by 87 no excuse for not having a 3 1/2 inch drive) and bad power supply, this is an amazing system.

A few questions for those in Japan or who remembered the system back in the day:
It has these sleek lines, beautiful curves, soft touch floppy eject buttons, the LEDs are in the right places, it just looks sexy!!!
I wouldn't mind case modding a micro-itx computer into one, and replacing the two floppy disc drives with slot loading dvd drives
