I noticed online that all the videos of people showing these units are using the controller plugged in...

Hey everyone,
Last week I had beautiful luck and stumbled upon a PS4 devkit. I know there can't be too many of these units in the wild yet and I've been having a hard time getting the thing to work, but I'd love to make it do something and share what I learn here.
(Here are some pics of it below for those curious)

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for a thread on this subject, so feel free to move it if not.

Anyway, I've been offered a couple of PlayStation 4 display units (complete cabinets, including monitor, PS4 unit and so on) and was wondering if these are essentially just locked retail units only capable of playing preset demos, or something more exciting, like test kits and so on.

If anyone can shed any light, it'd be most appreciated.

Cheers!

The issue is actually not a failure of the HDMI port but a piece of metal that is supposed to be fleshed with the console sticking up. Plugging in the HDMI cable resulted in it being cut and thus no output image. The solution is as easy as this;...
