I will write and add / edit this over the next few weeks...

The PC-88 series was a fairly powerful Z80 based machine but NEC wanted to push into the 16bit business PC market and made the PC-9801 series in 1982. These machines ran a NEC made 8086 and had a 640x400 mode in 8 colouirs with later machines using a V30 and offering 16 colours from a palette of 4096 colours and then the 286, 386 and 486 series...

So I came across this particular game:

I got interested, but it's fully japanese (oh really) and I can't read japanese. I played it in PC-8801 and I got as far as finding the menu to disable music. But I've heard that you can use Anime Text Hooker on PC to translate it on-the-fly. I'm going to try it, but I also came across this page:
http://fullmotionvideo.free.fr/screen/G1461.html
It states that they have a manual...
Backing up and recreating discs from the PC-98x1 to Windows and back again. The X680x0 and FM towns use similar disk file systems and you can use this information to make real disks for these machine using the information below.

If you have a PC-98x1 machine and you have some games you may want to back them up or even run game images (from your back ups or for er other sources), you also might want to...
Press 'A' to interact and 'S' to cancel/negate, and '1,2,3,5' to navigate. You have to pick up the owl item and head to one of the glider points. However it crashes when it tries to start the glider part, on PC88Win. And I can't run on m88 or x88. Any hints? It's the diskette image from Hardcore Gaming 101.
