I recently bought a CD32 and I'm having a few issues with the joypad.

The pad I have works great on the audio CD sections [all buttons and all directions] and in most games [Flick, Banshee, Alien Breed TC] but some just baffle me. In specific the Project X SE + UBB game disk does not seem to work. I can chose the game and start it by pressing the red button. But neither of said titles would recognize anything I press past that. On the same CD there's Super Frog demo which works just fine....

Howdy,

Recently i picked up a C64 and disk drive on ebay. I have a x1541 serial cable. Can anyone recommend a good app to transfer a .d64 image using this cable to floppy disks? I've looked around but there's a while bunch of different ones. Recommend me the easiest and best one to use

thanks!

I recently purchased a hxc floppy drive emulator with the intention of using it in a Amiga 500.

My intentions are to have it housed externally, with the internal drive still intact and usable. I am aware that the Amiga can't boot direct off the external drive, and that there is some method to switch the DF0/DF1 address lines which I'll have to find somewhere, that will take care of the not being able to boot from the external drive issue.

I just would like to know if the external drive...

So I need to get a good gift for my grandfather who is in his mid 70s. He has no clue on modern technology or even what to do with it. He was lucky enough to learn how to use his Amiga A500 back in the '80s. So I thought I'd get him a flashback system to enjoy his favorite games in bed for Christmas. Here's the homepage for these little miracle boxes: http://www.mcc-home.com/ I want to know more about it from someone who has one if possible. Are they any good? Is the menu...

I have SD2IEC which lets me run almost any C64 games from SD card but some multi-load games are a kludge to handle as you can't exactly exit out the game to do a disk swap then get back in. I do know some multi-load games have been converted to D81 (3.5" version) format instead of older D64 format (original 5.25" single sided) Has anyone tried to convert my favorite game Ultima 5 to D81 format or what? I found U3 and 4 already converted so surely someone tried 5?

I've spent about a year now exploring the Amiga Format and I've had a blast. I notice that on this forum (and several like it) the Amiga is still treated by some with a degree of mysticism that is kinda baffling. Today, getting into Amiga gaming is easier than it's ever been, and I'm of the opinion that it's a style of retro gaming that is worth looking into. It's no secret on this site that I adore retro gaming - I wouldn't hesitate to call the...
