      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have seen people selling Namco System 357 boards with either missing or damaged dongles. What I was wondering is if it were possible to clone/modify a dongle to run the game that is on the hdd.<br />

Is this something that could be done or would you need a completely new hdd/dongle set to run any game on the board?<br />

Also, What exactly does a Namco System 357 do if the dongle is not seated properly or missing? Does it give some sort of error sound? Does the system turn off? Does it display...<br />

It was a rainy evening in Finland and I had just gotten this PCB, me and friend were brain storming various ways to get in. We tried almost all known tricks and linux tricks but nothing worked.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[My Pandora&#039;s Box 3 540 in 1 version arrived today so it was a good chance to see if the Super Gun the local guy built actually worked.<br />

It did work but the plonker didn&#039;t add and audio to the 21 pin RGB cable!  Instead he wired it to a f-ing loud speaker inside the joystick.  It actually sounds really nice but I want stereo and proper bass so I&#039;m going to have to rewire that myself.  Also, the 6th button...<br />

Everyone says a mame setup is the way to go. Are there any notable games I won&#039;t be able to play with a mame setup, games that run on special chips? What will I be missing out on? I have heard it can be done on a low end pc, but then won&#039;t I be severely limited then in what games I can play? It seems crazy to me how far video games have evolved with time, yet...<br />

So from what I understand, there are various models of arcade cabinets. Some are upright, sit-down, or even in pedestal format. I haven&#039;t had any experience with any of these, but I have tried playing some games using a table, arcade stick and a monitor on top. <br />

From what I noticed, when playing on carpet the table tends to shake a lot. Enough that the monitor sitting on top wobbles as you use the joystick. I figure this might have something to do with the monitor not being...<br />

When looking at arcade cabinets I noted that some mention they are CRT and some mention that they are HD LCD screens. For the later type, what kind of video input do the screens accept? Is it just standard HDMI, or is there some special connector designed for arcade systems? <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I&#039;ve been tossing around the idea of picking up one of these JAMMA adaptors for either the original Xbox or PS1/2. They&#039;re the cheap ones still in production that go for around $30 USD made up of a small PCB with a cord that goes in the AV port and 2 cords that go into the controller ports.<br />

Tried to find some info about them online and basically all I managed to come away with was that the CGA video out through the harness can be irregularly dark and the wiring obviously isn&#039;t JAMMA...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[The pandora&#039;s box can go now because the Game King has arrived.  I&#039;ve seen these used in the arcades here in Japan.  They are pretty powerful solutions for arcade cabinets.  Runs 3D stuff such as Capcom&#039;s early 3D fighters, Soul Edge and a few others as well as all the classics.  Unlike Pandora&#039;s Box 3, all the games work really well.  Games that had big issues on the pandora&#039;s box such as the Konami games all work perfectly here.<br />

Basically the unit is a PC with a JAMMA interface attached....<br />
