I always use this statement to justify my buys but unfortunately, I hope I can wrong, value of video games don't hold up as well as stamps and paintings.
Did you post your full set on digitpress? If you did, can you post me a link? I want to read the thread. Thanks!

BTW how come you can find the time and effort to take pictures of your collection but you can't find time to take pictures of things you want to sell, or is it an easy way to sell games in not great condition? :P

I'm going for a full Saturn set as you know so to me a full set would be EVERY full priced game released to the public but NOT including variations. So say you own Thunder Force Special edition then there's no need to own the original. Sega Rally on the other hand would need 2 versions being the original release and then the re-release with online game play and clean ups.
|
I would disagree, mainly as
There isn't a great deal of difference between a Limited Edition and normal versions of most games so geting the limited ediion of the game would be the best version of the game.
There aren't that many games that have limited edition covers and the vast majority of them can be bought cheap, they have different catalogue numbers and discs.
On the same theme would you not get say the Emit Value or Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku Perpertual Collection if you had the single disc games? Ditto Eve collections.
On the same lines why would you get Puzzle Bubble 2X and Space Invaders if you had the collection disc? Surely that would be as 'anal' as you would have the games already. :P
Plus a complete collection would have the Hi-Saturn titles, Video CD titles and at least one of all the peripherals made, and Adols collection is missing a few of them. I'm not saying that Adol and indeed yourself have a fantastic collection of Saturn games but you'll need to pin down what a full set is and that's very different from a complete set (ie everything commercially released). I'm pretty sure you could get a full set of Saturn games of having the best version of any unique title in less then 1000 games...
Also what is the catalogue number of the EGWORD set you have adol?

Personally IF i can have variations,or "value sets" for a reasonable price,i'll get them. But that's not an obligation to have 3 times the very same game.
What do you mean by catalogue number? On the soft,on the printer box..?
By they way a complete GAME collection don't need all peripheral at all, otherwise that'd be a PERIPHERAL collection. I'm not looking for peripherals,i don't give a shit about them.
I do have video CDs like Nissan Collection Terrano or Sky, but i didn't picture them yet. I will if you want to.
but there are thousands of Video CDs all around the world, which ones do you consider "Sega Saturn related"?
You have to pin down about YOUR vision of a fullset. Personally i took Sega point of view, with its software list on sega hard website. What is better than Sega point of view? yours?
You'll learn, when you'll have 20 fullsets or more, that EVERYBODY has a different vision of a fullset. But you're not to that stage yet.
Sega Saturn fans have one,PC engine fans another, Super famicom boys another...i'm used for a decade to argue with envious guys who like to throw needles. But i have the courtesy to answer to their attacks, while most won't even answer.
Ps:Still waiting your answer about your allegation.WTH?

Even though that's basically what you are doing...

Both would be nice as well as a brief description of what's in the box, as far as I'm aware there were 3 printer sets and a upgrade kit, although I've never seen a picture of the last printer set.

If it wasn't for the fact you er showed all your peropherals then I might just believe you. :P Anyway as you nearly have all the specific peripherals it wouldn't be that hard to buy the few things you are missing and complete the set...

Just the three that have GS numbers on them, making them technically part of the Sega Saturn range.

My claim was that you claimed to have a full set and I said you didn't, this doesn't mean as I'm not going "Wow that's a brilliant collection" does not mean that I must be jealous or envious because I happen to be questioning your definition of a complete collection. I personally have no desire to collect a complete collection of anything now as I rather buy games I might play rather then look pretty on the shelf. However this doesn't mean I must know nothing, as I have been paid to do video game research...

Unlike me that points out things and can read lists on say Sakatore or a number of Japanese websites and even talk to people...

But that wasn't the point! I posted them because it fitted with the games, but as you can see i haven't all Saturn systems (Hi Navi,Hi Saturn), neither all joypads ever released on the systems.
If you want to do a peripheral collection, please do it. but don't tell me what i'm doing.

I still claim it,no matter what you think.
It is the fullset, every game ever released on the system.
Like Yakumo said,if you want to be anal about getting all variations, that's your problem, not mine. But it remains a fullset.

I don't remember ordering you to collect all the variations, just point out the differences between the large number of the variations.

You just showed everything you had on the shelfs and therefore you are showing your peripheral / hardware collection. Most things like the disc drive and keyboard aren't really related to games are they... anyway I was just pointing out that you do have most of the peripherals and there aren't that many gaming related peripherals that you don't have, the two most obvious ones are the Densha de Go contoller and the Sankyo pachinko controller...

Well you have one so far as that's all your pictures show.

Yes and I like to point out that you are on a public forum so you shouldn't get upset and throw your toys out of the pram if some one does point out things and doesn't praise you just because you post a large collection of titles.

Well as I pointed out that you were missing a title that I thought of and didn't see it in your pictures and as that is what you said after this I assumed that is what you meant. Maybe you shoud read and answer questions...

Except the ones you don't have which are unique titles and you don't have pictured. If you originally said fullset of games using the Sega list then I probably wouldn't have said anything but you said fullset so one assumes you mean a fullset of all the unique titles (excluding demos)...

The 6XX-XXXX one for example?
IIRC, mine is T-7641G.
The whole set being T-7626G.

Yes,they are.
FDD has FDD operator soft (HSS-0128/610-6276),and Keyboard has Habitat 2 (GS-7105).

Yes,i'm on a public forum, and i don't have to follow rules other than forum rules. Your "rules" have no value to me,or to anyone else.
You're the one being upset, having obviously time to lose to "correct" other people sentences.
I posted those pics, like i did for 2 years now when i finish a fullset, because i was ASKED TO,and i nicely answered to such demands.
I could have kept all those pics for me, i have other fullsets like PCE for near a decade now,and i only made pics of them 2 years ago.
If i wanted to "praise",i'd have done it in the nineties, and i'd post every day about new games i get,etc.. don't you think?

Ok,you're talking about the sale topic on this forum,i thought about my Ebay auctions.
I can't make more than 1000 pictures, and i'm not forced to, sorry.
Feel free to tell me which games you need, and i'll gladly make pics.

But you had an MSX at the age of 5! My parents didn't want to see me near any console (or gaming machine except for a PC) untill the age of 9 ^^
