My Psygnosis/Psyclapse Amiga Collection

Hi guys,

I present my collection of Psygnosis/Psyclapse for Amiga in version big box and disk.
That to say of this peculiar company, their unmistakable one and original style left print during 80 90 in multiple systems. It was a company that bet for the quality and innovation giving opportunity to the chanciest projects. Then the great Roger Dean contributed an unmistakable charisma under a science fiction style and fantasy to many of his covers as you will be able to appreciate.

I lack some few ones to complete those rushed for Amiga in Disk, I decided to only center since myself for that system it was one of those that more it marked me in my childhood apart from that it would be already too much to complete it in all the other ones.

The box-arts are fantastic, I wonder why so many western console releases had real shitty covers in comparison to the Amiga.

I also coincide that most of western covers are horrible.

At least we have something to show off in comparison with Japan jeje.

excellent selection(Brian the Lion, Agony - fantastic games).
one day I'll have to show my Amiga stuff,
I see you're missing Flink - you have to get it(don't know if you own CD-32 though ^_~).
but it's so awesome, much better than Sega CD conversion.

Very nice collection! What games are you missing?

I could have sworn that Barbarian II had a photo of a guy in a loin cloth brandishing an axe on the cover, and that Barbarian also had a photo cover, somewhat more risque, though... ah, perhaps that was only on Spectrum!

About 6-10 games, i must check if some games really exist from my list, some of them i never saw for sale. I must update the collection(listed on October2007), i have 2 new games (Menace and Anarchy).

Barbarian II have different covers, minimum 5. Mainly the original first releases from Palace, that have the guy with the axe accompanied by the woman.

Yeah, Flink is a really cool game, but my first objetive is finish the Psygnosis Amiga standart. I have Cd32, but not enought games, one day in must to put on with that system seriously . I collect too many systems

I have a dilemma with this game, in some pages they relate it with psygnosis, i dont know exactly if it is because the developers have been implied, or because later on it was distributed by psygnosis (I believe that it is the second). Anyway i decided to include it in the list.

The cover art for alot of them is Roger Dean (99% sure) - his style was used by the progressive rock band Yes (I'm an old fan of them).......very distinctive...

Wonder if Dean did Psygnosis's logo?

It's just a mixup with the 1999 Playstation and PC game with the same name.
http://www.gameratio.com/pc/games/Eliminator/index.php

Also even if most of Psygnosis boxartwork is great (at least the early ones) so are several not made for the games but rather just taken from the artists portfolio.

Barbarian 1 and 2 were multi-platform games - the original versions (Spectrum, C64, etc.) had the photo covers and the Amiga version (at least, the version released by Psygnosis) didn't.

On a side note - the 'Barbarian' in the photo art for Barbarian II is none other than the UK Gladiator's "Wolf"!
